I knew Martin, he was an amazing human being and a good gut to just spend some time with. My uncle Jamie Dunn introduced me to Martin and I have spent time at Martin's home and spent a lot of time fishing on Martin's lake. My first muskie was caught there. I also had the pleasure of meeting former Senator Nelson through Martin Hanson. He will be greatly missed by me and my family and the state of Wisconsin.
I had the great opportunity to know Martin. Uncle Martin as we called him. He gave us all a better understanding of nature and the world. The many times staying in his cabin, and him taking the time to teach us how to properly land a muskie (it was just like landing a tarpon)will never be forgotten. I got the tapes out he gave me and watched the animals that he filmed below his house. Dannyboy, Fonze, Sloppypig, Shortcut and the POPE say thanks for the memories and we will fish together again some day.
